Dec 13, 2013 - Track Your Devices with Confidence
In Apple's iOS ecosystem, it is difficult to guarantee that Device Locator will function reliably. There are many settings and behaviors that can end up preventing Device Locator from functioning as expected. To make sure that Device Locator will not stop recording locations without your knowledge, we have introduced two kinds of notifications: A push notification that appears on the phone when the app stops recording locations in the background and an email based notification that gets triggered if our servers notice that your device has not sent us locations as expected.

A new version of Device Locator 1.0.6 has been released. It includes the new on phone notification that is triggered when Device Locator is no longer recording locations in the background.

To understand how to use these two new features and improve Device Locator's reliability considerably, please read our blog entry explaining how the new features work. The new features will help you identify and correct the behaviors that prevent Device Locator from functioning properly.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter or Facebook to stay updated on the latest Device Locator news.
Dec 8, 2013 - Email Notifications to Improve Reliability
We have worked hard to introduce email notifications for when the app stops recording locations.

To turn on this feature, login on this website. Then click on the settings link for the device you want to monitor. From there you will see a link to turn on email notifications for when the device stops recording locations.

We hope that you find this feature to be useful in determining the kind of behavior that causes the app to stop recording locations. If the app is configured correctly it will record locations without interruption.
Nov 5, 2013 - Location History to Replace Google Latitude
Since recording and maintaining a location history is not profitable, Google has decided to close down Google Latitude. Many of you have contacted us and requested that we find a replacement for Google Latitude.

We have decided to provide our own location history solution. Our solution allows you to record one year's worth of location history for $10/year. A location history can keep track of a single device's locations. Multiple location histories can be purchased to track additional devices.

In order to sign up for our location history service, please login to your account and then click the link labeled Add New Location History.

If you have any comments or suggestions, you can always reach out to us using our contact us form.
